Ex-Nigeria Immigration Chief, David Parradang, Found Dead in Abuja Hotel

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has debunked reports suggesting that former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, was kidnapped before his death. Authorities have clarified that he was found deceased in a hotel room in Abuja under unclear circumstances.

According to official reports, Mr. Parradang checked into Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, on March 3, 2025, at around 12:00 PM, driving a black Mercedes Benz. He paid N22,000 for a one-night stay and later received a female visitor in his room. The woman reportedly left the premises around 4:00 PM, after which Mr. Parradang was not seen again.

Concerns arose when a military officer, said to be his friend, attempted to reach him. Tracing him to the hotel, the officer arrived around 4:00 AM on March 4, 2025, and, with the help of hotel staff, entered his room. There, Mr. Parradang was found unresponsive, seated in a chair.

The Durumi Police Division was alerted, and officers swiftly arrived at the scene to secure evidence, document the incident, and commence an investigation. His body has been transferred to the National Hospital for further examination. Meanwhile, hotel staff are cooperating with authorities, and efforts are underway to locate and question the female visitor.

The police have urged the public to disregard speculation and misinformation, particularly claims that Mr. Parradang was kidnapped before his death. The FCT Police Command has assured a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
