President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to fostering productive alliances with the United States, rooted in transparency, shared opportunity, and tangible outcomes that elevate Africa’s role in the global economy.
Speaking in Paris during a high-level engagement with Mr. Massad Boulos—Senior Advisor for Africa under former U.S. President Donald Trump—Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s readiness to collaborate with Washington on economic and security fronts.
The bilateral discussion centered on forging a comprehensive partnership between Nigeria, Africa, and the U.S., built on mutual respect and focused on driving regional prosperity and long-term stability.
Boulos, representing former President Trump’s Africa-focused diplomatic efforts, relayed Trump’s strong interest in strengthening direct U.S. engagement with Nigeria—positioning it as a strategic gateway to broader U.S.-Africa relations.
He underscored the U.S.’s intention to scale up investments in key sectors such as infrastructure and energy while supporting initiatives that spur trade, job creation, and sustainable development across the continent.
Both parties also exchanged views on peace and security challenges in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and the wider Sahel region. Boulos commended Nigeria’s leadership in continental affairs and backed Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability in volatile regions.
The meeting signals a renewed momentum for Nigeria-U.S. collaboration under evolving geopolitical dynamics, with Africa’s economic empowerment at the forefront.
