Dabiri-Erewa Hails Nigerian-Born Jovan Olafioye Induction Into Canadian Football Hall of Fame

Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has celebrated the induction of Nigerian-born athlete Jovan Olafioye into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, Class of 2025, describing it as a “remarkable milestone” that brings great pride to Nigeria and the global Nigerian diaspora.

In a congratulatory message, Dabiri-Erewa applauded Olafioye’s outstanding career in the Canadian Football League (CFL), where he spent eight seasons with the BC Lions and established himself as one of the league’s most reliable and respected offensive linemen.

Olafioye’s professional achievements include winning the prestigious Grey Cup championship in 2011, earning multiple All-Star selections, and securing the Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award in 2012, cementing his legacy in Canadian football history.
