The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has assured residents of adequate security throughout the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, saying enhanced patrols and strategic deployments have been put in place to safeguard lives and property across the territory.
In a goodwill message to Muslim faithful and residents, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir and urged citizens to uphold the values of peace, sacrifice, unity and tolerance associated with the festival.
The police chief wished residents a peaceful and memorable celebration, stressing the importance of maintaining harmony during and after the festivities.
“The Command has put in place strategic deployments, intensified patrols and proactive policing measures to ensure the safety of lives and property before, during and after the celebrations,” he said.

Mr Sanusi also called on residents to remain vigilant and law-abiding, urging them to promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
According to him, the FCT Police Command remains committed to maintaining peace, security and public safety across the nation’s capital throughout the festive period.
