Nigeria Condemns Deadly Terrorist Attack in South Kashmir, Offers Solidarity to India

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially condemned the recent terrorist attack in South Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of at least 26 innocent civilians, most of whom were tourists, and left several others seriously injured.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Nigerian government expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of India. Nigeria described the attack as a senseless act of violence against innocent lives and reaffirmed its unwavering opposition to terrorism in all its forms.

“Nigeria strongly condemns this heinous act and stands in solidarity with India during this difficult time,” the statement read. “As a nation that has grappled with similar acts of terror, we understand the pain and devastation such incidents inflict on communities and nations.”

The government further emphasized the urgent need for collective international action in the global fight against terrorism and violent extremism. It reiterated its call for stronger collaboration among nations to enhance intelligence sharing, security cooperation, and counterterrorism strategies.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the resilient people of India as they heal from this tragedy. Nigeria remains committed to working alongside the global community to combat the menace of terrorism and uphold peace, stability, and justice worldwide,” the statement concluded.

The Pahalgam attack is one of the deadliest incidents in South Kashmir in recent years, drawing widespread condemnation from governments and international organizations across the world.
