According to the CPG, Ori admitted participating in criminal operations across Zamfara, Kaduna and Niger states, as well as in the Niger Republic.
The Zamfara State Community Protection Guards (CPG), popularly known as Askarawa, have paraded nine suspects accused of involvement in banditry, cattle rustling, arms and logistics supply, drug trafficking and other criminal activities across the state.
The suspects were paraded in Gusau following security operations conducted by the CPG in different parts of Zamfara State.
The CPG Commandant, retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Shehu Dalijan, said some of the arrests were made possible through information obtained from suspects who had operated within various bandit camps.
One of those paraded, 20-year-old Abubakar Malan Ori, reportedly confessed to spending several months in the camp of a bandit kingpin known as Kachalla Gwaska.

The command said the suspect also disclosed that more than N226 million was collected as ransom from several abductions.
Other suspects, identified as Mamman Haruna and Aliyu Lawali, were accused of involvement in cattle rustling and armed attacks allegedly carried out alongside notorious bandit leaders.
The CPG also paraded Ibrahim Mafindi Titus, described by the security outfit as a “bandit doctor”, who allegedly treated wounded members of criminal groups using medical supplies sourced from outside the country.
Several other suspects were accused of serving as informants and logistics suppliers to bandit groups, while others were linked to the distribution of illicit drugs.
The CPG also arrested a man identified as Mustapha Muhammed, who allegedly impersonated a legal practitioner and used the identity to extort money from the relative of a detainee outside the CPG headquarters.
Commandant Dalijan said the state’s security agencies would continue to target not only armed criminals but also individuals providing information, medical assistance, logistics and other forms of support to criminal groups.

He said the objective was to restore peace and security to communities across Zamfara State.
The suspects are expected to face further investigation and possible prosecution in accordance with the law.
